A note to prospective resident and student members:
The Academy will work for you locally and nationally by supporting your career and the specialty of family medicine. With more than 1,500 members in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and 94,000 nationally, the Academy is one strong voice for family physicians, family medicine residents and students with an interest in family medicine.
Membership in both the state chapter and national organization will provide you with the best of both in professional affiliation – local support and national strength. At the present time all family medicine residency programs in Massachusetts pay the annual dues for their Residents to join the Academy. In an effort to support Residents in Massachusetts, the MassAFP waives local dues for Resident members.
