A great opportunity awaits you to help lead the association dedicated to providing responsible advocacy, representation and leadership for our members, and to promote the specialty of family medicine through awareness and education. MassAFP is currently accepting nominations to its Board of Directors for the following positions:
MassAFP values and seeks diverse leadership from all practice types and sizes, and has identified desired attributes that will be part of the selection process for new board members:
Directors terms are 3 years and directors may be eligible to serve up to 2 terms. Open positions will begin upon installation in March at the MassAFP Annual Business Meeting. The board generally meets in person and participates in strategic planning. Board members are expected to participate in all meetings, read the board materials ahead of time and participate in the discussion at the meeting. In addition to in-person meetings, board members are to be responsive to electronic board communications (emails, surveys, etc.) as necessary and participate in committee/workgroup activities. In addition, an annual strategic planning meeting is held in conjunction with one of the board meetings.
