Family MEDICINE Physician of the Year

The Massachusetts Academy of Family Physicians is made up of physicians who go above and beyond their call of duty. Each individual provides a very important component to their community and to the people they serve.

Purpose:
To recognize a physician member's long-time dedication to furthering the specialty of Family Medicine through excellence in care, community engagement, and support of new physicians in the specialty. 

Nominees are evaluated on the following criteria:

• Serves as a role model for Family Medicine. 
• Can effectively represent the specialty of Family Medicine and the AAFP in public speaking. 
• Provides compassionate and comprehensive health care service on a continuing basis.
• Demonstrates community involvement through activities that enhance the quality of life. 
• Active member in good standing with the MassAFP.
