aDVOCACY/ PUBLIC HEALTH aWARD (ATTENDING, RESIDENT, MEDICAL STUDENT)

The Massachusetts Academy of Family Physicians is made up of physicians who go above and beyond their call of duty. Each individual provides a very important component to their community and to the people they serve.

Purpose:
This award recognizes the efforts to advocate on behalf of patients or the specialty of family medicine. This person may have worked to bring awareness to an issue in public health or impacted access to care. This award recognizes advocacy at the local, state, and/or national level. Students, residents, and attending physicians are eligible.

Please submit your nominations to massafp@mms.org by Friday, January 19th, 2024. Please contact Tricia Kennedy at tkennedy@mms.org for any questions or additional information.


Advocacy/Public Health Award Criteria:

  • Active Member in good standing with the MassAFP
  • Public health or advocacy work in the past year
